!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . If it was half that it would be an alright price based on the condition, but fixed up it would be a really cool car :) something needs to be done about that tailgate though...

Yeah you're right about the price, pretty wishful thinking from the seller. Would be cool to see someone save it though.

That roofline was pretty poorly executed, but overall I like the concept. With the right paint color applied you might be able to hide that hump where the cut was made. Cool idea though

I don't know, I kind of like the roofline. I can't see any obvious kinks and it doesn't have the usual 'curved roof leading into dead-straight panel' roofline endemic to most shooting brake conversions.
I think it's a great idea :) loads of storage space for such a tiny car. Decent amount in the back plus a little frunk :)

It is wishful thinking, but if they relist it for half of the price I might entertain buying it :) my girlfriend's been after an Imp actually...

this was the funky spot I was talking about, but maybe that is just me, and I know that is where the cut would be. It isnt bad, if it was a nice mid green or blue hue you would barely see it, the other side looks fine.

It's certainly worth a punt for 400-500 as long as you enjoy welding since it looks like there's plenty to do. I'm actually quite fond of Imps, my uncle has plenty of stories about the one he had. Including having to make everyone get out to drive up to steep hills.

Ah, I hadn't spotted that bit :S a black would hide it quite nicely too, or perhaps making up a piece of chrome trim that runs the length of the roofline and describes a nice even curve.

ok so I am not crazy or finicky then! Good to know.
IMHO straight black shows everything. Maybe the "Magic Black" metallic they used on the X308 Jags would hide it really good.

Yeah it's a full-on project :S I can weld with reasonable competency though, so that doesn't put me off :)
